Proverbs 23:7 in The Bible states, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…” up until recently most interpret this as figurative and not literal wisdom. However, recent scientific discoveries and phenomena show science is catching up with the Word of God.
A mind-bending phenomenon has been documented in numerous people who had a heart transplant. When a person receives a new heart from a recently deceased person, they have no idea who it is from or what that person’s life was like. Or do they?
NAMAH Journal reports that some people who receive a heart transplant begin taking on attributes of the person they received the heart from without knowing anything about the person. One example given was a white man who received a heart from a recently deceased black man. The patient inexplicably began listening to classical music, something he never cared about before. He thought maybe it was the heart transplant but reasoned because he knew the man who had died was black, he probably preferred rap music (que offended comments.) But he later found out the donor actually loved classical music and died embracing his violin on the way to practice.
If that doesn’t raise an eyebrow, perhaps this next story will:
“An eight-year-old girl, who received the heart of a murdered ten-year-old girl, began having recurring vivid nightmares about the murder. Her mother arranged a consultation with a psychiatrist who after several sessions concluded that she was witnessing actual physical incidents. They decided to call the police who used the detailed descriptions of the murder (the time, the weapon, the place, the clothes he wore, what the little girl he killed had said to him) given by the little girl to find and convict the man in question (2).”
The journal shares several other anecdotes.
Does this sound like voodoo or conspiracy theory? Well, the scientific community now knows the heart has its own brain. And the heart likely plays a role in affecting our physical reality and outcomes. This is a complex topic that will be broken down over several stories. So, we will just start with the fact that the heart has its own brain. How it affects our body, DNA, and energy field around us will be discussed later.
Heart Math notes from its research:
The heart-brain, as it is commonly called, or intrinsic cardiac nervous system, is an intricate network of complex ganglia, neurotransmitters, proteins and support cells, the same as those of the brain in the head. The heart-brain’s neural circuitry enables it to act independently of the cranial brain to learn, remember, make decisions and even feel and sense. Descending activity from the brain in the head via the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the ANS is integrated into the heart’s intrinsic nervous system along with signals arising from sensory neurons in the heart that detect pressure, heart rate, heart rhythm and hormones.
It notes the heart sends more information to the brain than the brain does to the heart.
Logic follows that if the heart has its own brain, and it sends more information to the cranial brain than the cranial brain does to the heart’s brain, a transplant recipient could have inexplicable knowledge regarding their donor than they would otherwise have no way of knowing.
We learn through this scientific finding that several figurative phrases should now also be meant quite literal. God knew what message He was sending when He said, “so a man thinketh in his heart…”. We also now know when someone tells you, “My heart is telling me to do one thing, but brain is telling me to do another,” that is an accurate scientific statement.
Perhaps indecisive people are not flighty or not resolute, but they have a real battle going on between both of their brains. If the cranial brain and the heart brain disagree on a particular decision, that would manifest as indecisiveness.
